📍Entity View

Whenever you want to see the details about a table, dashboard or column you can enter its Entity View tab. It compiles all the handy info about the specific data asset.

It will show all associated tags from dbt and the data warehouse, indicating which system attached the tag.

From there, you can click on any of the associated labels to open Search and see all assets that have the same tag.

Lineage

This tab will show you the direct connections of this entity in a visual graph: one level up- and downstream.

You can move forwards and backwards on the lineage graph by clicking on the entities accordingly.

Queries

Browse all the queries related to this entity, separated between:

Pipeline

Read and write

Analytical

Only read (SELECT)

Build

Only write

You can open the underlying search query in the Editor to sort or group the queries.

Usage & Cost

In this tab you can see the query information in the context of our cost estimations.

Dashboard View

Viewing a dashboard you can browse its elements, pulled by Alvin from your Looker API.

Table View

Exploring details of a table you're able to browse its columns in a dedicated tab.
